Mini Book Reviews

Hi. Yes I still exist. I didn’t post for a month, I know.

Oops.

College is rough on my free time guys. Just sayin’.

Care for some mini reviews?

.

While I haven’t had as much time to gobble down books recently, I have been able to squeeze a few in here and there!

Such as…

Adorning the Dark: Thoughts on Community, Calling, and the Mystery of Making

Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson.

An amazing book about being an artist and how it impacts every part of our life, and how we can use it to impact others. I wrote down soooo many quotes from this book! (unlike some, I tend to avoid underlining, I doubt the library would appreciate it much…)

Death with Interruptions

Death with Interruptions by Jose Saramago.

What if death was a woman, and she decided to take a vacation? I knew I had to read it when I found out death was a woman in the book, and I guess in some cultures death is always a woman! It is the anglo culture that makes death a man. I wonder why that is… Anyway. If you can make it past the two thirds of the book that explains what happens to a country when death stops working, you find a very interesting story about death, and what she does about a man who just refuses to die. I loved the last bit, I almost gave up on the book during the middle.

Sorcery of Thorns

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson.

THE MAIN CHARACTER IS TALL! Tall women are underrepresented in literature, okay? *coughandImightbetallcough* And she whacks demons with a piece of iron, and she loves books. Oh, and books are ALIVE in this story! If you love books, you will like this story. If you love witty dialogue, you will like this story. If you love action packed whisk you along for the ride plots, you will like this story. If you like sweet romances, you will like this story. Basically, read it. End of story.

Found any new books to add to your TBR? (come on, you know it is getting too short, right?)

What have you all been reading recently?
